Mick Mcauley/Winifred Horan/Colm O Caoimh (sailing back to you)

irish      A verdant expanse of greenery and Irish memories dancing about the flame of the open heart with a flush of celtic overtones and stories but a tale to be told. The instrumentation envelopes the recording in its entirety as the lyrics find a bond with its melodies. The sharpness of the virtuosity in the form of the fiddle embraces the thunderous finger movement peppered throughout the album. An engaging potpourri of sounds fill the atmosphere with a mixture from the delicate to the wild. Sad songs however are forever expected. Although the saddest song of them all may very well be “Farewell to Whiskey” as a humorous case in point. But give special attention to the title cut which will leave your heart in your hands. A most beautiful marriage of sound and emotion.
